Ashiatsu

What is Ashiatsu

Ashiatsu was named such based on the Japanese language Ashi for foot and atsu for pressure. So the meaning is basically Foot pressure massage. The therapist uses parallel bars above the table to keep balance while using fluid movements to give the worlds deepest most luxurious massage.

Pressure

The therapist uses parallel bars above the table to adjust pressure. I have great control of this and can adjust from as light as Swedish to as much as mine own body weight. The amount of pressure is decided by you the client.

Prepare

There are a few things that I would suggest doing or not doing before and after this massage.
Do's: Drink plenty of water before and after, plan for an epsom salt bath after, 2-3 cups epsom salt.
Don'ts: Workout after, drink alcohol before (no hangovers)

Cleanliness

Before each massage I sanitize my feet and use towels or clean flip-flops to step on if I step down off the table. If I do not use these, I re-sanitize my feet,

What to expect

I add other modalities to my Ashiatsu techniques. I include Ashi-Thai work, Shiatsu, resistant stretches, and many other styles all based on what you are wanting out of your massage, whether it be relaxation or relief from an injury.
